P is for Pumpkin

Happy Friday! Michelle here and I'm playing with the Falloween Daily Diary kit this week. I actually have both kits this month because they're pretty much awesome!!! (Danielle did an unboxing video you can check out here)

I couldn't wait to take my youngest one to the pumpkin patch so about a week ago I picked her up from school and we headed out to some local farms for pumpkin donuts (yum!!!), a visit with some farm residents (aka the farm animals) and pick out some pumpkins and gourds. Btw, am I the only one who is of the thinking that you can't have too many pumpkins?? We ended up taking 3 home that day :) And I'm sure when we go with the entire family we'll end up with many, many more!

A little bit of embellishing here and there. I added some triangles to my journaling card for the Pumpkin Pie challenge this week. I also added a couple journaling tags from my stash.
Some photos are pretty great on their own so I let them speak for themselves. We had a gorgeous blue sky that day!

Next week the design team is scraplifting Noel Mignon members' pages so be sure to share your creations using any kit in the facebook group!!

Documenting Week 40 with Falloween & 2 Process Videos!

Happy Thursday everyone! Danielle here and I have lots to share today! First off I have a kit unboxing video of the new  Falloween Daily Diary Kit. After that I have a process video documenting Week 40 of my project life, so grab a coffee and sit back and enjoy!

Here is a kit unboxing video of the new Falloween Kit!

and here is my first process video documenting Week 40 using it.

and here are some photos.

This weeks Design Team Challenge is Pumpkin Pie - Use orange triangles on your project. I used my Crate Paper Cute Girl Stamp that was in last months Daily Diary Kit. It had a row of triangles. I used this stamp with my Prima Chalk Ink in Rusty Keys, then outlined them with my black Sharpie Pen.

This week my son went on a field trip, so I included a cut out piece from the brochure.

I did lots of machine stitching with orange thread, then added aqua enamel dots from my stash.

Here is a close up of the orange triangle stamping I did for the challenge. Also, how cute is that Bella Blvd washi strip?!

For this card I layered the stamping, washi tape from the Bella Blvd pack included in the kit, a branding strip and then that fabulous ribbon!

I used my Dylusions Squeezed Orange & Lemon Zest to splatter drops of ink across my page.

Don't forget, now is the time to sign up for the January - July 2017 Kits! Spots fill up quickly, so secure your sub early!

Falloween: Ghosts & Ghouls

Good morning, Noel Mignon Scrappers! Jana Eubank here.

I have been playing non-stop with my Falloween kits and have busted out SEVEN layouts so far! Eek! So happy! In fact, I've been having so much fun with my kits, I haven't taken the time to get out my Halloween decorations yet. GASP!!! I KNOW!!! I mean ... if you knew me, you would know that THAT was major! Haha!

I'll be sharing my pages with you throughout the month ... but today I will share with you the layout I created for the "Pumpkin Pie Challenge."

For this challenge, we were to use the color orange AND a triangle, wedge, or pie shape in our design. Here is what I came up with.

GHOSTS & GHOULS

I fun with the title on this one ... adding the little ghost sticker to the letter "O" of the word "ghosts." Isn't he cute? I also added a dangling spider die cut to the word "ghouls."
The title was getting lost on the black patterned paper, so I placed a piece of vellum behind it, cut into a banner shape.

I pulled out my triangle punch and the 6x6 patterned papers from the Falloween Daily Diary kit to create the triangle shapes to the left of my photos.
I adore the wood buttons with the enamel centers ... they kind of remind me of creepy eyballs here.

I hope you will join us in the "Pumpkin Pie Challenge" this week. It was a fun one to tackle! If you do, come share your project with us on the Noel Mignon Members Facebook page.

Be sure to check back here throughout the month to see all the fun things the design team does with the Falloween kits.

Until next time!

"Falloween" Daily Diary Kit and a Pumpkin Pie Challenge

Hello Bloggers and Welcome October! Lynn here to share my first project life spread using this month's "Falloween" Daily Diary Kit. I love how this kit is geared for both Fall and Halloween (hence the name). There are just 2 of these kits left so order one quick before they disappear. This week I kept my spread Fall themed and incorporated our weekly Pumpkin Pie Challenge. Our challenge is to use orange AND a pie, wedge or triangle shape on our project. Here's my page.
I used various sized photos all printed on my Canon Selphy. Here's my title card.
The ribbons and flowers in this month's kit coordinate perfectly with the PL cards and papers. I used cardstock stickers as embellishments for the cards.
The photo below shows a card I made for World Card Making Day 2016 using this month's kit.
Here's a few more close ups. Lola has a leaf in her mouth ALL the time as you can see in the next photo.
The photo of the pumpkin pie is what I used for this week's challenge.
Here's the final set of cards.
NOTE: Kit subscriptions are currently opened up for January - June 2017. Please sign up quick to secure your spot. These kits ROCK!! Click >>HERE<< for details.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and we hope to inspire you with our weekly challenges.
I'll be back next Tuesday with another pocket page using this month's "Falloween" Kit. Have a great week!

{Pumpkin Pie Challenge} with the "Falloween" Classic Kit

Happy Monday!!!  Not just any Monday, but the 1st Monday in OCTOBER!!!  Which means Halloween is on the way!  It's Meridy here and I'm working with the "Falloween" Classic Kit today.  I love this kit, and apparently so did a lot of you, because it's already sold out.

This week the design team is working with the "Pumpkin Pie Challenge", which is to use either orange or a triangle/wedge shape on our layout.  I decided to use both on this layout about one of our Halloween traditions.

I only had two photos, so I decided to make a rare (for me) single page layout.  I started with the black star background paper and then began cutting triangles from 3 of the patterned papers.  After I cut them, I arranged (and rearranged) the triangles a couple of times until I got them how I wanted them.

I created a little Halloween scene with a few of the Bella Blvd. die cuts that came in this month's kit.  To add some dimension and interest, I used pop dots to pop a few of these die cuts up.

Making my title was my favorite part.  I have already journaled about this tradition on other layouts from previous years, but I still wanted to scrap these pictures.  So I decided I didn't need to journal on this layout.  The title and date stamp are telling all of the information that I feel like I need.  I was able to use one of the Pretty Little Studio cut apart phrases, a Bella Blvd. tag, the Heidi Swapp glitter alphabet, and some of the American Crafts Halloween chipboard stickers in my title.  I pulled the green Tiny Type alphas from my stash.

And that wraps up my layout for the "Pumpkin Pie Challenge".  Check back all week to be inspired by the design team.  I'm excited to see everyone's pages!  I would love to see you share some of your work on the Noel Mignon Member Facebook Page!!!

Weeks 50 & 51 | Buttons and Bows Daily Diary Kit

Good Morning, Noel Mignon friends!  Wendy here today to share another Project Life page I created using the gorgeous Buttons and Bows Daily Diary kit.  I have so enjoyed this kit and while a new kit is always fun, I'm enjoying squeezing all the stories I can out of this one!

To unite my 2 weeks of very different activities, I chose to use black and the colored heart as my uniting pieces.  I then chose the pink/salmon color to bring in a pop of color throughout the pages.  You can see the details below of the separate weeks.  I have gotten behind as you can see, these are some weeks in July, but I use the Collect app that allows me to load a picture and journaling each day so I don't forget anything and to assemble my pages takes minutes now days.

This week your challenge is the "Pumpkin Pie" challenge - use orange and a pie/wedge/triangle shape on your project.  I have a salmon type color that I have used on my layouts and the hearts have the pie/wedge shape in their design.  I guess here in FL where fall is no where to be seen salmon is the new orange, lol!

Have a great week, I will be back next week with a planner page I created from this amazing kit!

Happy Today | Buttons and Bows Classic Kit

Hello!

It's Laura here with you today sharing a new layout and process video!  This week the DT is creating projects with the theme "siblings"! I decided to document the relationship between my 3 sons.  Not much of a challenge since they are siblings and all, but my boys have a large age difference and two of them are grown up and out of the house so their relationship is definitely something that they need to work at.  I wanted to be sure to document how close these guys are even those they live hours apart.

It is hard to get a photo of these three (or four) together given that we do not live together, so this photo was actually snapped at Christmas time and I have used it in my December daily, which is why I converted it to black and white for this layout.  I am taking creative license to use it again because I am telling a different story this time! You got to do what you got to do!

I went with a more typically layout for me, keeping things really tight and using a smaller photo.  I love the "white" space.

I loved these Crate Paper hearts but the pink wasn't a good fit for this page, so I flipped it over and wrapped half of it with Washi tape from the kit to sort of mimic the original look of the heart piece.

I pulled elements from the kit to create a grey, teal, yellow and navy colour scheme, and used smaller pieces to layer behind my photo.

My title is a combination of the alpha stickers and a sticker from the Simple Stories sheet, included in the kit, I love combination font titles so this was perfect for me.  Because I wanted my alphas to be grey and yellow, I did have to "make" a "p" and a "y" from other alphas.

As a final step, I added some machine stitching and some splatters of mist.

I have created another process video for this layout, you can check it out below or here on my You-Tube channel!

Supply List: (from the kit) Crate Paper patterned paper "cheery from Cute Girl; Pink Paislee patterned paper's 03, 06 and 18 form Take Me Away; Simple Stories "laugh lots" and "choose happy" from Posh; American Crafts Carefree Thickers; Simple Stories Posh stickers and chipboard; Crate Paper wood accents;  Fancy Pants Millie and June Washi. (from the August kit) Pretty Little Studios cut apart flags. (from my stash) Simple Stories enamel dots; Mr Huey's mist; Martha Stewart bakers twine; Staedtler grey pen; fine tip Sharpie.

Thanks so much for visiting!
